Mark Bernhardt has served as the senior pastor at LHC since 1991. Each week he teaches God's Word, aiming to challenge believers and encourage unbelievers. Mark's teaching from the Word combined with his natural wit and sense of humor make worship services at LHC a joy to experience. Mark is a graduate of Northwest Nazarene University. Prior to coming to LHC, Mark served for ten years as a youth minister in the Church of the Nazarene and pastored a church in Alaska. The vocal ministry of Monty Jackson was formed early in the context of a familial setting. He spent years touring with regional and world renowned gospel and contemporary Christian music groups. In 1985, his debut solo project Through Your Eyes won an Angel Award for best inspirational album of the year. He has founded the southern gospel quartet Reunion, the Jackson Family music ministry, and the INSYNC Christian Music record company. He is a gifted singer, composer, arranger, record producer and audio engineer. He has produced and/or arranged for many artists. Monty has also been involved in Mission work in seven different European countries and Papua, New Guinea. Monty is a graduate of Bakey Music Conservatory, where he earned a certificate in vocal performance. In addition, he has received a “Certificate in Worship Studies" from Integrity Worship Institute. He is currently studying at Berklee College of Music. Monty is also a licensed minister with the Church of the Nazarene; he is enrolled in the ministerial studies program and is on schedule to complete his study and to be ordained in 2008, as a Minister in the Church of the Nazarene. Josh is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theology. Josh felt the call to ministry at the age of 17. His goal is to continue his theological education toward ordination. His ministry objective is to disciple and train youth to be grounded in Christ and dedicated to living a holy life among the challenges and pressures of the world.
